It's All About the Kids
Our Mission is for all of us, collectively, to insure that every child’s experience be rewarding and fun; that we will with other coaches, referees, parents and officials build the best soccer program we can through cooperation, tolerance and respect for our individual jobs and responsibilities.

-
Consider it a privilege to coach your children
-
Consider it an obligation to be an example while developing character, honesty, integrity and respect in your children
-
Use positive coaching methods to make the experience enjoyable, increase self-esteem, and foster a love and appreciation for the sport
-
Strive to provide a challenging, safe, enjoyable and successful experience for the athletes by maintaining a sports environment that is physically and emotionally safe
-
Promote sportsmanship over gamesmanship; don’t cheat. Resist temptations to gain competitive advantage through strategies or techniques that violate the rules or show disrespect for the highest traditions of the sport
-
Direct comments or criticisms relative to the performance, not the athlete
-
Ensure that all activities are suitable for the age, experience and ability of the athlete
-
AT NO TIME WILL A COACH ARGUE, ABUSE, THREATEN OR DEMEAN ANY CHILD, REFEREE, OTHER COACH, PARENT, SPECTATOR OR OFFICIAL
-
Control egos and emotions; avoid displays or anger and frustration; don’t retaliate
-
Make sure EVERY parent has read, understands and is committed to the MSA code of Conduct
-
Report any conduct that violates this code or is detrimental to the positive learning environment that all in MSA are trying to uphold
