Coaches, Please review this before the season begins:

  4. Remind previous season's players to register to their team before the registration deadline, and check Sports Pilot frequently for players that still haven't registered.
    • If you don't know your login information, please contact our office.
  5. New coaches: Attend a free coaching clinic to receive your coaching license, and attend the mandatory new coaches meeting.
  6. After registration closes, pick up your signed team roster, parent code of conduct form, and medical release form from the MSA office.
    • New coaches must pickup their roster at the mandatory coaches meeting.
  7. Have a team meeting with your parents and players.
    • Discuss team name, uniforms, practice schedule/location.
    • Review the Parent Code of Conduct and have them sign the signature sheet (you will turn this in at the first game.)
    • Have parents sign the medical release (keep this for your records.)
    • If you don't have them already, ask for volunteers to help as an assistant coach or manager.
      • Assistant coaches and managers will also have to do the background check, register to the team, and submit their driver's license for a coach's card.
  8. New teams: Check with the MSA office to finalize your team name.
  9. Order uniforms (or have a parent volunteer do this).
  10. Be sure you have the equipment that you need for practices and games.
  11. Begin practices! 
  12. Check the website often for the game schedule for your team.
  13. Schedule your team pictures with Buzzz Photos.
  14. Review the Game Day Checklist for coaches.
